This business takes advantage of world-scale manufacturing plants in Lamotte, France to produce the basic raw materials. Glyoxal and Glyoxylic Acid on multi-ten-thousand ton scale and C-2 intermediates in multi-step synthesis on medium to small scale.
Our permanent goal is developing new processes to improve our customers' current production and to design new products based on Glyoxal and Glyoxylic Acid. These products include multi functional monomers and advanced building-blocks used as step savers in complex synthesis.
The Silicones & Polymers business of Clariant Specialty Intermediates is a unique supplier to industries that thrive on innovation with a broad-ranging and technically sophisticated capability. This capability is seen in the performance-enhancing products that we manufacture for diverse applications and the custom synthesis activities we undertake on behalf of our customers.
